Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various records. You will assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures, applying DRG/APC rules to ensure compliant coding.

The role requires CA, AHIMA/AAPC certification and 2–4 years of production coding experience in acute care and profee, with Epic experience preferred. Join a team focused on accuracy, productivity, and compliance.

Qualificações

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program.
• Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee.
• Must have the following certificates and/or licenses: CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P.
• 2 years credentialed experience in coding both facility and profee charges.
• Epic experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Abstract, code, sequence and interpret clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, ED, pro fee and clinical records.
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and principal/secondary procedures with accurate sequencing.
• Apply DRG/APC reimbursement expertise to assign appropriate codes.
• Abstract data into multiple software programs/encoders and follow official coding guidelines.
• Maintain 95% quality rating and ensure HIPAA/compliance adherence.
• Track productivity and work across teams with strong communication.
