Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions that connect Epic with internal and external systems. This role combines hands-on software engineering, architecture collaboration, and operational ownership to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable healthcare technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience with Epic integrations, HL7/FHIR, and Mirth Connect is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Epic integrations and related applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions promoting scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Epic Analysts, Product Owners, QA, and Operations to deliver solutions.
• Support production deployments and release activities; drive continuous improvement.
• Provide Tier-2 support for production applications and integrations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex issues, document root causes.
