Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Epic Inpatient Clinical Application Manager to lead Epic inpatient teams through implementation, optimization, testing, go-live, and long-term support in our Maryland operations.

You will supervise Epic analysts, coordinate with project leadership and vendors, and drive integrated workflows across departments to ensure clinical, regulatory, and operational objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Epic inpatient implementations, upgrades, and go-live activities.
• Minimum 6 years in clinical or IT roles with EHR implementations.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience, leading application teams.
• Epic certifications and ITIL/ITSM experience preferred.
• PMI/PMP and Lean Six Sigma green belt preferred.
• Experience governance across multiple Epic modules and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic application teams through implementation, optimization, testing, go-live, stabilization, upgrades, and ongoing support.
• Directly supervise Epic application analysts with assignments, performance feedback, and development.
• Coordinate activities with Project Director, operational leaders, technical teams, vendors, and training/testing teams.
• Oversee application support, upgrades, risk management, change control, and production readiness.
• Ensure build/design/testing readiness and effective cutover and deployment.
• Partner with clinicians, revenue cycle, and Epic representatives to meet clinical, regulatory, and operational goals.
• Develop team capabilities through mentoring, certification planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain expertise in Epic functionality and interoperability trends.
