Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL seeks a Manager for Epic Inpatient Clinical Applications. Lead the Epic inpatient team, ensure stable production systems, and align builds with clinical workflows and safety standards.

You will coordinate with clinical leaders, IT, and Epic leadership, driving improvements and governance while supporting go-live and upgrade initiatives across facilities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supporting Epic or other EHR clinical applications, inpatient focus required.
• 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience in application support or IT operations.
• 1 year with Epic in multi-hospital health system environment preferred.
• 1 year in Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives preferred.
• 1 year working with clinical leadership and governance structures preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics or related field required.
• Epic certification or ability to attain certification within defined timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for Epic Inpatient support, prioritizing workload and uptime.
• Directly manage Epic analysts, coach, and ensure certifications and standards.
• Oversee design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic inpatient enhancements.
• Partner with nursing leadership and clinicians to align workflows with Epic solutions.
• Participate in change control, clinical councils, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate testing for upgrades and releases; support system upgrades and deployments.
• Maintain operational excellence and fiscal management of the department.
• Recruit, onboard, and evaluate staff; provide coaching and professional development.
