Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Manager – Epic Inpatient Clinical Applications to lead Epic inpatient lifecycle, ensure stability, and align with clinical workflows and patient safety.

You will supervise Epic application analysts, collaborate with nursing leadership and IT, drive upgrades, testing, and standardization across facilities, with an emphasis on performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supporting Epic or other EHR clinical applications with a focus on inpatient workflows.
• 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in application support, informatics, or IT operations.
• Bachelor's degree in health informatics, clinical informatics, information systems, or related field.
• Epic certification or ability to attain Epic certification within defined timeframe.
• Experience working with clinical leadership and governance structures.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day leadership and direction for Epic Inpatient application support, maintenance, and optimization activities.
• Manages and prioritizes analyst workloads to ensure timely resolution of issues, enhancements, and requests.
• Ensures the stability, performance, and ongoing support of Epic inpatient applications in a live production environment.
• Directly manages Epic application analysts, including performance management, coaching, skill development, and workload planning.
• Oversees design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic inpatient enhancements and new functionality.
• Coordinates testing activities for upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory changes.
• Partners with Epic leadership to support system upgrades and future deployments.
• Serves as the primary Epic Inpatient application point of contact for nursing leadership, providers, operations, and clinical informatics.
