Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL seeks a Manager of Epic Ambulatory Clinical Applications to lead the outpatient Epic program across the organization. You will supervise the Epic Ambulatory analysts, partner with clinical leaders, and ensure build standards meet patient safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires coordinating testing, upgrades, and deployments with Epic leadership, IT teams, and governance bodies while driving sustainable support models and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of clinical application teams.
• Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory systems.
• Experience aligning IT with clinical workflows and safety requirements.
• Experience with governance, change control and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate clinical needs into scalable builds and support models.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for Epic Ambulatory support, maintenance, and optimization; manage analyst workload and ensure uptime.
• Directly manage Epic analysts including performance management and coaching; maintain certifications.
• Oversee design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic ambulatory enhancements and new functionality; ensure adherence to best practices.
• Serve as primary Epic Ambulatory liaison to nursing leadership, providers, and operations; align solutions with workflows.
• Participate in Epic governance; ensure standardized application across outpatient departments; support regulatory and accreditation needs.
• Collaborate with Epic Technical Services and IT teams to ensure cross-application alignment and enterprise resolution of issues.
• Maintain department’s operational excellence and fiscal management; recruit, onboard, and evaluate staff; ensure policy adherence.
• May support on-site go-live, weather events, and occasional travel for training or project meetings.
