Job summary

Cone Health in Greensboro, NC seeks an Informatics Provider Systems Lead to guide Epic implementation across multiple clinical specialties. The role blends clinical expertise with information systems to support end users through the EPIC lifecycle.

The candidate will develop order sets, clinical documentation, and workflow redesign, lead with physicians, and ensure high-quality patient care through information technology and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3 years recent clinical care experience, hospital or community-practice based.
• Demonstrable, significant experience in health care.
• Familiarity with matrix leadership in healthcare systems including clinical operations and process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to create strong rapport with physicians.
• Ability to translate technical terminology for non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of clinical data applications and process improvement.
• Clinical workflow redesign experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in a healthcare setting.
• 5+ years in a medium to large healthcare integrated delivery system (preferred).
• Experience collaborating between IT and clinical leadership (preferred).
• Epic implementation, optimization, or support experience (preferred).
• Pass rating from Physician Builder training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitates integration of best practices to support clinicians using EPIC.
• Supports development of order sets and clinical documentation for CPOE and notes.
• Advocates IT use in clinical settings and aligns solutions with goals.
• Ensures excellent customer service and communicates needs between clinicians and IT.
• Identifies strategies to improve quality of service and patient safety.
• Assists in prioritizing optimization opportunities and break/fix decisions.
• Cascades EPIC updates to stakeholders across specialties and care sites.
• Acts as end-user support resource during go-lives and post-go-live periods.
