Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced health IT professional to configure electronic health record systems and translate clinical workflows into streamlined electronic processes. You will lead design, build, and upgrades, collaborating with clinical, training and technical teams to deliver compliant, efficient workflows that support patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• EPIC Certification within 1 year required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and develop critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork and follow-up skills.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Clinical, technical or administrative experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Meaningful Use (ARRA), HIPAA, JCAHO and other regulations impacting clinical practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, plan, evaluate and translate clinical practice, operations, policies and procedures into electronic content and workflows.
• Configure the electronic health record system to improve operations, standardize processes, gain workflow efficiencies and improve patient care.
• Perform in-depth analysis and facilitate development of integrated workflows.
• Complete functional design and build of the eRecord system with minimal guidance.
• Collaborate to resolve system issues or conflicts at integration points and communicate risk implications to team lead/project manager.
• Review, prioritize and implement requested system enhancements.
• Work with project teams, subject matter experts, training and technical teams to define cross-application and cross-functional processes.
• Participate in upgrades, attend upgrade meetings and coordinate application-level team activities.
• Build reports and workflows, test work and identify and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain system build standards, security classifications, databases/spreadsheets and change control.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Build relationships and communicate with project teams, stakeholders and physician practices.
• Maintain foundational components and/or performance of the eRecord system.
• Perform other duties as assigned
