Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, MD seeks an experienced Epic Clinical Information System Analyst II for the Beaker Lab Department to optimize and support clinical pathology workflows. You will analyze requirements, configure Epic Beaker modules, lead small-to-medium projects, coordinate with end users and IT teams, perform testing, go-live support, and maintain documentation.

This exempt, 40-hour workweek offers competitive pay, benefits, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, information systems, business, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of direct clinical/healthcare operations or clinical information systems experience including implementation, optimization, or production support.
• Epic certification in the assigned application(s) is required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by AHC.
• Current clinical licensure is preferred when relevant to the assigned application.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyzes intermediate-to-advanced clinical/operational requirements and configures Epic applications following standards.
• Owns complex incidents, performs root-cause analysis, and coordinates cross-application troubleshooting.
• Plans and leads small-to-medium application projects, with requirements, milestones, risks, testing, and implementation.
• Serves as liaison among end users, Epic representatives, and IT teams; ensures solutions meet business needs.
• Maintains testing, change control, and documentation; develops knowledge articles and training materials.
• Participates in go-lives, downtimes, and on-call support; communicates status and risks to leadership.
