Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Senior Epic BMDI Integration Engineer to lead a team of analysts focused on real-time HL7 interfaces and enterprise integration within clinical workflows. You will own end-to-end integration tasks and drive project delivery with a strong sense of ownership.

You will coordinate code reviews, design test scripts, ensure PHI security, and collaborate with Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Field Operations, and vendors to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Medical, or Business, or equivalent experience.
• 7–8 years of experience in IT applications and Epic environments.
• Experience with hospital workflows and healthcare IT; Epic Bridges certification.
• Experience with HL7 interfaces and real-time data exchange; PHI security compliance.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and project lifecycle management.
• Experience with Capsule, EDI engines, and other Epic-related tools.

Responsibilities

• Participates in on-call rotations and major incident resolution.
• Provides leadership for real-time HL7 interfaces and device integrations.
• Leads code/peer reviews and coordinates cross-functional development.
• Defines design and unit test scenarios aligned with requirements.
• Maintains PHI security and integrity of data exchanges.
• Generates reports and supports incident response.
