Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Senior Epic BMDI Integration Engineer to lead a team of analysts focused on real-time HL7 interfaces and surgical/clinical workflows. The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with multiple departments, and incident resolution to ensure high-quality data exchanges.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Epic BMDI, PHI security, and healthcare IT initiatives, with remote-eligible deployment supporting our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Technology, Medical, or Business.
• Epic Bridges certification required; experience with hospital IT systems preferred.
• 7–8 years in IT/Application Systems Analysis in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional application development activities to meet business and technical requirements.
• Provide subject matter expert leadership for real-time HL7 interfaces and data exchanges; oversee modifications and testing.
• Participate in on-call rotations and major incident resolution.
• Drive design, development, testing, and maintenance of integration solutions with HIPAA and PHI considerations.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Field Operations, and vendors to support patient care communications.
• Generate reports or whitepapers on medical device integration efforts.
