Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Claims/Remittance Analyst to manage Epic-based billing and remittance programming. You will collaborate with Finance, IT, and Revenue Cycle leadership to ensure accurate submissions and timely postings while educating departments on best practices within Epic.

The role requires Epic experience in Resolute, Prelude, Grand Central, or Cadence, a strong communicator with attention to detail, and the ability to work with external vendors to support claims processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a health-related discipline or related field.
• In lieu of a degree, three years of information systems experience in a patient care environment.
• Epic experience in Resolute, Prelude, Grand Central or Cadence is highly desirable.
• Must complete certification on an Epic application within 6 months of training.
• Ability to manage project work plans and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Works with financial, IT, and Revenue Cycle teams to optimize Epic programming, configuration, and workflows for claims and remittance.
• Identifies issues in the application area and impacts on other teams.
• Provides SME guidance to ensure timely and accurate claims and remittances.
• Proactively collaborates with third party vendors (claims/remittance clearinghouses, banks).
• Leads workflow design discussions, builds and tests systems, and analyzes issues.
• Monitors deliverables, issues, and milestones with leadership.
• Educates teams on Epic best practices.
• Serves as liaison between end users and Epic implementation staff.
