Job summary

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) to join the IT team as an Epic Beaker Analyst on-site in New York. You will design, build, implement, optimize, and maintain Epic Beaker across inpatient, outpatient, and anatomic pathology workflows, bridging clinical lab operations with IT.

The role requires 2–3 years of clinical lab experience, MLS/MT/MLT certification, and Epic Beaker familiarity; you may pursue certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related bioscience.
• Active certification as MLS/MT/MLT from ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience (Generalist, Microbiology, Blood Bank, or Anatomic Pathology).
• Epic Beaker certification is highly preferred; candidates ready to certify within 6 months will be considered.

Responsibilities

• On-Site System Build & Configuration: design, build, and maintain Epic Beaker components (tests, panels, results routing, workflows).
• Workflow Optimization: analyze current workflows and design optimizations to reduce turnaround times and errors.
• Instrument & Third-Party Integration: build and troubleshoot connections between Epic Beaker and lab automation lines and middleware.
• Application & Go-Live Support: provide tier-2/3 support; participate in rotating on-call; support during go-lives and upgrades.
• Testing & Upgrades: develop test scripts and perform validation, SI, and regression testing for upgrades.
• Regulatory & Quality Compliance: ensure builds comply with CAP/CLIA/Joint Commission/HIPAA.
• End-User Training: document procedures and train staff on new Beaker features.
