Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a skilled IT professional to analyze laboratory workflows and translate them into Epic Beaker functionality and customizations. You will collaborate with the Bridges team to build interfaces between Epic and external systems (HL7, X12, FHIR) and support Aura deployments, data analytics, and reporting for laboratory operations.

The ideal candidate has Epic Beaker Certification, 2+ years of Beaker or LIS experience, knowledge of HL7/FHIR, and comfort with clinical lab

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
Epic Beaker Certification
2+ years of experience supporting Epic Beaker or a similar LIS.
Epic Aura and Bridges experience preferred
Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, API-based interoperability, and digital health workflows.
Experience with clinical laboratory operations and genetic testing workflows.
Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI data security, and regulatory compliance in healthcare IT.
Familiarity with programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze laboratory workflows and translate them into Epic Beaker functionality and customizations.
Collaborate with Epic Bridges Analyst to build and maintain interfaces between Epic and external systems (HL7, X12, FHIR).
Work with technology team to share configurations and support testing of workflows.
Define, triage, and document Epic Aura compendium build requests.
Perform data analysis and provide reporting support for laboratory operations.
