Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated Training Specialist to master Epic applications and related workflows, design and deliver training, and support end users across the system. You will build training materials, facilitate sessions in person or remotely, and coordinate scheduling and LMS records.

Strong communication and collaborative Skills are essential as you work with providers and leaders to resolve software issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience training, designing and supporting medical software applications.
• Experience in adult education and understanding workflows.
• Prior certification in Epic preferred; obtain computer application certifications within 90 days.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Master the assigned applications and related workflows.
• Assess processes and participate in workflow design improvements and system builds.
• Provide training for installations, upgrades, and ongoing user support.
• Design courses and materials following adult learning principles; maintain documentation.
• Deliver training in classroom or remote settings; mentor others in presentation skills.
• Schedule end-users, trainers, classrooms, and maintain LMS records.
• Provide direct end-user support via help desk; document triage and routing of tickets.
• Consult with providers and leaders to identify problems and resolutions related to software.
• On-call end-user support may be required.
