Job summary

Union Hospital, Inc. in Terre Haute, IN seeks an IS Application Manager-Epic Ancillary to lead the Epic Ancillary portfolio, guiding strategy, support, and optimization across Cardiology, OpTime/Anesthesia, Radiology, Oncology, Laboratory and other services.

The role requires deep Epic expertise and strong leadership to partner with clinical and operational leaders, drive adoption, and ensure regulatory and privacy standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, clinical informatics, business administration, nursing, or related field required; equivalent experience based on policy.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, enterprise application support, clinical/business systems, or application management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of leadership, team lead, supervisory, project leadership, or analyst mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Epic, Workday, ERP, clinical, revenue cycle, integration, or business applications preferred based on assigned portfolio.
• Epic certification, Workday training, application-specific certification, or other relevant credential preferred or required based on assigned role.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with operational leaders, translate workflow needs into system solutions, manage priorities, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the lifecycle management of assigned applications, including planning, implementation, stabilization, optimization, upgrades, release management, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Partner with operational, clinical, financial, technical, and executive leaders to understand business needs and improve workflows.
• Manage and develop analyst teams by setting expectations, assigning work, coaching staff, and creating growth pathways.
• Establish and manage application roadmaps, priorities, governance, testing expectations, and communication plans.
• Ensure applications are reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues related to applications, workflows, integrations, and production support.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with project managers, infrastructure, analytics, training, security, vendors, and leaders.
• Monitor performance, service levels, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Lead or support go-lives, command center support, integrated testing, and readiness activities.
