University of Miami IT & Systems Department seeks an Epic Analyst for EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP to support and optimize the Epic platform. The role collaborates with stakeholders, end-users, and the application team to ensure effective configuration, function, and access.

The analyst will participate in testing, documentation, on-call rotations, and committee work, with reporting to the Senior Manager. Experience with ADT, ED workflows, and hospital operations is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Epic ClinDoc, Orders, and ASAP certifications preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare IT and Epic build/maintenance is desirable.

The Epic Analyst – EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP assists Associate Epic Analysts on the team and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The Epic Analyst – EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP facilitates day-to-day application support and resolving application issues and provides day-to-day application support and resolving application issues.Core Responsibilities: * Serves as a support contact for application end‐users. Identifies issues and works to resolve them.* Designs, develops, implements, and maintains the application.* Supports all phases of testing and document workflow design.* Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.* Provides day-to-day application support, evaluates and resolves service tickets, implements requested application changes, and retrieves requested data promptly.* Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.* Assists with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes.* Participates in on-call rotations and support.* Attends and participates in applicable committees.* Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.* Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.* Becomes knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.**DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS** As an Epic Analyst – EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP, you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:* Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts on the team* Implementing, building, and modifying the application* Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access* Providing day-to-day application support and resolving application issues* Serve as a support contact for application end‐users* Design, develop, implement, and maintain the application* Support all phases of testing and document workflow design* Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow* Identify issues and work to resolve them* Provide day-to-day application support, evaluate and resolve service tickets, implement requested application changes, and retrieve requested data in a timely manner* Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies* Assist with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes* Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure* Participate in on-call rotations and support* Attend and participate in applicable committees* Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetings* Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership* Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations***This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.*** **MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS:** * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization* Epic ClinDoc, Orders, and ASAP Certifications required* At least 2 years of Epic build experience preferred* Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills preferred* Familiarity with clinical workflows preferred* Understanding of emergency department workflows and integration points, especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and charging preferred* **Microsoft Office Suite:** Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel* **Problem Solving:** Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence* **Dependability:** Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner* **Critical Thinking:** Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible* **Stakeholder Management:** Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership* Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.* Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.* Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.* Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.* Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)* Commitment to the University’s core values. ***Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.*** #LI-AS1
