Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking Epic Analysts focused on Data & Integration to design, implement, and support Epic tools across the health system.

You will help connect applications, deliver analytics, and enable secure data exchange while supporting interoperability, reporting, and enterprise analytics for clinical and executive decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Epic certification required within 12 months of hire (domestic travel to obtain certification).
  • Experience supporting healthcare information systems, data integration, analytics, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting tools, interfaces, or systems integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Epic interfaces, integrations, and interoperability solutions.
  • Develop and optimize reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support clinical, operational, financial, and executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accurate, secure, and reliable data exchange.
  • Support interface troubleshooting, issue resolution, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in Epic upgrades, implementation projects, testing, and production support.
  • Build and maintain reporting solutions using Epic reporting tools and enterprise data repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, testing plans, and support procedures.
  • Partner with project teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

We're seeking Epic Analysts - Data & Integration to join our Information Technology team and help design, implement, and support the Epic tools that connect applications, deliver actionable analytics, and enable secure data exchange across the health system.

Whether your expertise is in interfaces, interoperability, reporting, or enterprise analytics, you'll play a critical role in ensuring clinicians and leaders have the information they need to provide exceptional care.

Job Description

Epic Analysts collaborate with Information Technology, clinical departments, operational leaders, and external partners to develop, support, and optimize Epic reporting, interoperability, and integration solutions. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable data movement across applications while delivering meaningful analytics that improve organizational performance and patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete the Epic Sphinx Assessment. Assessment results will be considered alongside relevant experience, interview performance, and organizational needs as part of a holistic evaluation process.

Required
  • Epic certification required within 12 months of hire* (domestic travel required to obtain certification).
  • Experience supporting healthcare information systems, data integration, analytics, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting tools, interfaces, or systems integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • *Employees hired into this role as part of the initial Epic implementation may be hired prior to obtaining Epic certification and will complete required certification through organization-sponsored Epic training.
Compensation Information

$64,501 - $173,264The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
