Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead projects with professionalism and resourcefulness. The role focuses on quality, timeliness, safety, customer relationships, and strong communication.

The position includes managing project finances, EPC negotiations, procurement, and team development, with opportunities for growth and exposure to diverse markets and systems. Base pay varies by location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum six years of related experience.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of construction law and standard business practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects.
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including schedules and exhibits.
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award for major subs and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimates into the financial system and approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to accounting and create monthly owner billings.
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and trade partner selections.
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers; approve timecards.
