Job summary

Fermi America is seeking an EPC Operations Commercial Manager to lead contracts and commercial alignment across Project Matador. You will bridge Operations, Procurement, Project Controls and Legal, ensuring consistent commercial positions and compliant change management across the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep EPC contract expertise, strong drafting skills, and hands-on experience coordinating with Legal on disputes, notices, and commercial correspondence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the industry with at least 2 years in a Commercial Lead/Manager role
• Expertise in EPC contract structures, change management, claims, and commercial correspondence
• Experience working directly with legal counsel on contract interpretation, disputes, and formal notices
• Strong drafting skills for commercial letters, position papers, and executive summaries

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for EPC, construction, engineering and major equipment contract terms across Operations
• Advise on contractual rights, obligations, notice requirements, and remedies
• Review draft agreements, exhibits and terms for consistency with contracting standards
• Maintain knowledge of active agreements including pricing, milestones, and payment terms
• Bridge between Project Controls change management and Legal for disposition of changes and claims
• Draft and manage formal commercial correspondence and notices in coordination with Legal
• Support claims avoidance and dispute resolution with position documents and records
• Track contractual notice periods, cure periods, and response deadlines across the portfolio
• Support procurement in commercial negotiations and bid evaluations
• Flow down prime contract requirements into subcontracts and PO terms
• Assist in commercial recovery efforts including credits and backcharges
• Participate in vendor/commercial meetings as Owner representative
• Support lender, tenant and internal diligence requests
