Job summary

IES Residential, Inc. in Grapevine, TX is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, repairs on residential and light commercial systems.

You will test components, replace parts, and ensure optimal performance with safety and code compliance. You will train with team, document work orders on mobile devices, communicate clearly with customers, and schedule service calls with dispatch.

Qualifications

• HVAC duct blasting, red tag and punch technician.
• Minimum 2 years' experience servicing HVAC systems (residential and/or light commercial).
• Valid EPA Certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
• Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to residential and light commercial service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters, inspecting coils, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating fans and motors.
• Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, thermostats, motors, and valves; perform system upgrades or installations as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, repairs, and maintenance options.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders; document Diagnostics and parts used.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with local, state, and federal codes and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and other technicians to optimize service routes and downtime.
