Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an EP Technologist Float to assist with invasive electrophysiology procedures and device-related support. The role involves patient monitoring, sterile technique, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff across campuses.

Responsibilities include data collection for outcomes improvement, and cross-site coverage at Overland Park Regional and Menorah Medical Center as needed. Strong ECG interpretation and arrhythmia skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Cardiovascular or Radiographic Tech program or equivalent with 2 years of clinical experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• RCES certification preferred.
• 1 year of cardiovascular experience with arrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive electrophysiology procedures under supervision.
• Monitor patient status during EP procedures and ensure sterile technique.
• Collect data for databases, outcomes, and performance improvement.
• Support the supervisor in duties to keep the department running efficiently.
• Provide care at Overland Park Regional and Menorah Medical Center campuses per Market Pool.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the EP Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director, the EP Technologist in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive electrophysiology patient procedures, including cardiac device implantation.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, 3D cardiac mapping of electrophysiological pathways, patient physiologic monitoring and cardiac arrhythmia recognition and pacing during EP ablation procedures
• Complies with principles of sterile techniques
• Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement
• Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the supervisor to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently
• The EP Technologist Float in the Market Pool position provides care at both Overland Park Regional and Menorah Medical Center campuses, as determined by the Market Pool agreement and staffing assignments are subject to change based on facility staffing needs determined by EP Lab Market Manager and/or administration

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate from a Cardiovascular Technology or Radiographic Technology program OR Equivalent combination of education and 2 years clinical experience
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of start date
• ACLS Certification required within 6 months of start date
• RCES certification preferred
• 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular environment with competency in arrhythmia and 12-lead electrocardiography interpretation; or equivalent clinical experience as part of education
