Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Minnetonka, MN, is seeking an Operator II for assembly, test, and maintenance of pacemaker-related devices. This role requires a high school diploma and at least two years in regulated production, with the ability to read procedures and follow verbal instructions.

You will use data collection systems, handle small components, and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives. You will work Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical or other regulated production environment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: prior medical device manufacturing or assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
• Perform routine assembly, testing, and inspection of pacemakers and related devices.
• Communicate issues, solutions, and ideas to manufacturing management in written and oral form.
• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices during operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance processes.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability of parts and quality information.
