Job summary

Abbott in Minnetonka is seeking an Operator II for the 2nd shift in the Electrophysiology division. The role involves performing assembly, welding, X-ray, and testing on pacemaker components, ICD leads, and related assemblies under general supervision.

You will maintain documentation, support Lean initiatives, and ensure quality and traceability. Typical duties include troubleshooting, following procedures, and communicating with management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical or other regulated production environment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks based on precedence and importance.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, weld, x-ray, repair, and test pacemaker assemblies and related medical device components under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure traceability of all parts.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
• Communicate effectively with manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
• Support safety and documentation requirements and participate in preventive maintenance of equipment.
