Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks an experienced electrophysiology support professional to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias in the EP lab. You will prepare procedure rooms, operate complex EP equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist during ablations and device implantations.

The role requires BLS, ACLS within 6 months, ARRT certification, and strong EKG interpretation and communication skills. A flexible schedule with potential night/weekend shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• ARRT registration in state of practice and ARRT credential.
• Excellent communication and EKG interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in patient setup and prep before procedures and assist with post-procedure cleanup.
• Maintain sterile technique to assist with cardiac device implantation.
• Operate EP equipment (EP Hemodynamic, PRUCKA, stimulator) and fluoroscopy.
• Acquire diagnostic radiographic images and file data in PACS.
• Perform quality control and routine fluoroscopy maintenance.
• Monitor radiation dose to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Contribute to professional development and keep credentials up to date.
• Adapt communication to each patient and obtain necessary permissions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
