Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center’s Cardiac Cath Lab seeks an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Manager to oversee operations across multiple EP procedure rooms, including two hybrid labs. The role requires leadership and EP lab experience in a high-acuity setting to support a growing program.

The position involves coordinating, budgeting, and ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance for adult patient care in a large cardiology program in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology, Nursing or related field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS are required.
• If RN, license in the applicable state is required.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates all assigned functions to provide a smooth, cost-efficient operation.
• Develops systems to monitor quality, safety, and appropriateness of care and services.
• Participates in planning and implementing changes to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Uses a system-based approach to coordinate unit functions and adapt to rapid changes in healthcare technology.
• Delegates effectively and holds team members accountable for quality and outcomes.
• Contributes to annual operating budget development and manages results.
• Assists in capital equipment justifications and recommendations.
• Ensures competency and acts as a mentor to teammates.
• Ensures compliance with Nursing Practice Act, regulations, and internal policies.
• Recruits, orients, and supervises clinical, technical, and administrative staff.
• Assists in policy development reflecting current practice and literature.
• Manages patient and family coordination and service recovery.
• Maintains equipment maintenance records and coordinates with Clinical Engineering.
