Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking an Electrophysiology Specialist to support EP lab, cath lab, and holding area procedures. The role emphasizes precise protocol adherence, asepsis, and timely interventions to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The position requires 2+ years in EP or related fields, RCIS/RCES certification (or plan to obtain within 24 months), and BLS/CPR with ACLS within 6 months. Clinical collaboration across departments is essential for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Electrophysiology, Cath Lab, Radiology Technical, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic or related clinical experience.
• RCIS or RCES certification required; if not held, must obtain within 24 months of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists diagnostic, interventional, and acute EP procedures maintaining asepsis and alerting in emergencies to ensure patient safety.
• Prepares specialty EP equipment for accurate diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Performs control room duties with physiologic monitoring, EP mapping, angiographic imaging, and data analysis for patient assessment.
• Supports EP data management including digital archiving and supply distribution for efficient workflows.
• Provides circulating duties during procedures, prioritizing needs of patients, physicians, and scrub staff to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintains continuous care in Catheterization Lab Holding and cross-trains across departments to support smooth operations.
• Communicates with the multidisciplinary team to support culturally competent, patient-centered care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
