Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee seeks an Invasive Cardiac Tech for the EP Lab to operate monitoring equipment, assist during procedures, and ensure patient safety. You will collect data, monitor ECGs, and support physicians during complex interventional tasks.

The role requires a cardiovascular tech credential, healthcare experience, and BLS/ACLS within 6 months. UW healthcare benefits and sign-on bonus apply.

Competenze

• 1 year of healthcare experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications to be obtained within 6 months.
• Completion of an approved basic ECG interpretation course within 3 months of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly change priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff.
• Basic computer skills.

Mansioni

• Operates monitoring, recording and related equipment used during procedures; collects data for physician/staff; prepares, delivers, and picks up reusable items for re-sterilization.
• Monitors patient electrocardiogram for cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Operates the defibrillator and provides CPR when required; supports in emergencies.
• Assists in pre and post procedure activities related to equipment and patient care; performs troubleshooting, calibration, cleaning and QA on equipment.
• Identifies cardiovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy for documentation.
• Obtains and documents clinical data during procedures in the procedure log.
• Prepares and operates imaging, angiographic, interventional and storage systems.
• Positions patient and selects exposure factors for radiographic procedures in the department.
• Supports physician and staff during procedures; scrubs to assist with diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures.
• Performs bloom operation (overdrive pacing).
• Age-specific care knowledge including growth and development considerations for patients.
