Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to support EP devices in clinic and assist physicians with examinations. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, documenting in the EMR, recording vital signs, and providing patient education. Prepares and maintains crash cart and defibrillator equipment.

Requires 3 years RN experience and BLS certification. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; AD and Diploma nurses hired.
• Licensed RN by State Board; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical problem/condition and document in EMR, record vital signs and assist physician as needed.
• Follow up on physician orders and lab requests; inform patient of test results and further treatment; document services in EMR for billing.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment; initiate patient education plan per physician instruction.
• Abstract patient records via EMR; use EMR functions such as tasking, messaging, and disease management.
