Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute seeks an Electrophysiology (EP) Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) to diagnose, manage, and treat complex cardiac arrhythmias in a hybrid role across ambulatory and inpatient settings. The APP will interpret ECGs, manage CIED testing and device management, and collaborate with EP physicians.

The role requires strong cardio EP knowledge, ability to support perioperative EP services, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or ANCC/AACN.
• Cardiology experience preferred; Electrophysiology would be preference.
• Cardiac device management experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret ECGs and diagnose cardiac rhythm disorders in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Perform routine CIED testing, reprogramming, and remote transmission management.
• Provide pre‑procedure risk stratification for EP procedures and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with Electrophysiologist and inpatient teams to manage arrhythmias and interventions.
• Support EP peri‑operative services and post‑operative orders and care.
