EOC Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter (EOC Enrollment Coordinator - EOC aHEO)

POSITION DETAILS

The State University of New York Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center, administered by New York City College of Technology/CUNY, provides tuition free academic and workforce development training to eligible New York State residents, providing a pathway to lifelong learning, college access and economic self-sufficiency. The BEOC is currently accepting applications for an EOC Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter.

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, the Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter assists with outreach and recruitment, informs applicants about EOC programs and requirements, and assists applicants through the enrollment process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in community outreach and recruitment efforts to encourage applications to BEOC programs.
  • Assist in conducting open house sessions, information sessions, and orientations about admissions to BEOC.
  • Review program requirements and EOC policies and procedures with applicants in individual or group settings.
  • Respond to requests regarding information on programs.
  • Review applications and determine applicant eligibility for EOC services and programs.
  • Follow up on incomplete applications.
  • Communicate enrollment decisions to applicants.
  • Prepare activity reports and analyses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience serving the academic needs of a diverse student body.
  • Ability to provide information and programmatic support to students who may have experienced academic deficits and life challenges.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments and establish and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and social media platforms.
  • Strong customer service orientation is essential; able to work effectively with all levels of faculty, staff, students, and external constituents.
  • Knowledge of Banner student information system a plus.

CUNY TITLE

EOC Assistant to HEO

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$44,411 to $54,268. Salary commensurate with education and experience. CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
