Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL is seeking an EO/IR Perception Systems Analyst to join a multidisciplinary team that blends engineering analysis with data analytics on EO/IR sensor data and perception algorithms.

The role focuses on developing Python-based analysis scripts, identifying trends, and producing clear visualizations. You will support data collection, pre/post-test activities, and validation of synthetic data against real sensor outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or related field with relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Python and scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-image, statsmodels, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly).
• Exposure to machine learning or statistical data analysis methods.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based analysis scripts to analyze EO/IR sensor systems and generate data products.
• Analyze data to identify trends and insights; create clear visualizations communicating findings.
• Assist with data collections, pre-test planning, on-site support, and post-test data cleaning/organization.
• Implement standard and custom metrics to evaluate EO/IR system and algorithm performance.
• Document methodologies, processes, and findings.
• Contribute to synthetic EO/IR data generation and validation against real sensor data.
