Job summary

Veolia seeks an Environmental Technician to join a trained team handling hazardous waste in line with environmental regulations. The role requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklift and other equipment to move containers, and ensuring accurate documentation per customer policies.

The position involves outdoor and indoor work, wearing PPE, and potential variability in scheduling including nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces.
• Visual acuity to read labels; depth perception for forklift operation.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled spaces.
• Willingness to wear PPE (glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek, respirator).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and move containers to storage, treatment areas, and trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Contribute to compliant handling of hazardous waste according to regulations.
