Job summary

Veolia is seeking Environmental Technicians to join a team of dedicated professionals. You will learn environmental regulations and how we remove hazardous materials from the waste stream.

The role is physically active, involving lifting up to 50 pounds and operating forklifts to move containers for storage and treatment. Responsibilities include completing documentation accurately, complying with applicable regulations, and performing duties in various settings with PPE as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
• Visual acuity to read labels; depth perception to operate forklifts
• Ability to hear vehicle alarms and work outdoors in all conditions
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety policies

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste per regulations
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely
• Operate a forklift and other equipment to move containers
• Work both outdoors and indoors following safety procedures
