Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Environmental Technician to join the Phoenix operation in Battle Mountain. You will collect environmental data and samples, support environmental compliance reporting, and provide administrative support within the Environmental Team.

Qualifications

• Certificate in science/engineering or degree in science preferred.
• Experience with hydrology data collection, databases, field instrumentation and electronics preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others required.
• Strong computer skills including PowerPoint, Word & Excel required; experience with LiveLink, Oracle, MonitorPro preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect environmental data and samples necessary for environmental compliance reporting.
• Use instruments and equipment to gather data and conduct monitoring.
• Conduct inspections required by various compliance programs.
• Ensure accurate documentation of sample collection and data.
• Manage analytical data within the MonitorPro databases.
• Provide training for site personnel, where necessary.
• Travel to remote areas of the site and collect samples and monitoring data.
• Troubleshoot sampling equipment, pumps, weather stations, transducers.
• Courier samples to and from site.
• Communicate with Environmental Team and external stakeholders.
