Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks an Environmental Technician in King Mountain, NC for a 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion to direct hire. Schedule is Day Shift, 8am to 5pm, with a pay rate of $20 per hour.

Responsibilities include waste and recycling bin management, forklift operation, and proper separation, labeling, and disposal of waste, recyclables, and chemicals. Training will cover recycling procedures and safety compliance with management oversight.

Qualifications

• Must have steel-toed boots; PPE provided on site.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Hazwoper training (24hr) before starting as scheduled by vendor.
• Hazwoper physical and Audio/Hearing test before starting as scheduled by client.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all waste and recycling bins are emptied throughout the day.
• Operate a forklift.
• Properly separate, collect, store, and label waste, recycle, and chemicals.
• Communicate with other department employees to train on proper recycling and disposal of waste generated during the production process.
• Report any issues or concerns to management.
