Triumvirate Environmental, Inc. is hiring an Environmental Technician for our Clayton, North Carolina team. This on-site role supports clients by managing hazardous waste programs and ensuring safety compliance.

The position involves a 12-hour shift with a rotating two-week schedule and requires a flexible weekend timetable. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma, 1+ year of customer service experience, and the willingness to participate in screenings and background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours (7am–4pm or 10am–7pm, Sat–Wed).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• 1+ year of customer service experience; self-motivated learner.
• Must lift 60 pounds and be willing to consent to background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move supplies on-site.
• Load and organize recyclable material onto trailers.
• Schedule non-hazardous waste pick-ups and maintain communication with clients.
• Oversee on-site confidential document shredding.
• Escort subcontractors and drivers to work locations.
• Conduct eyewash and safety shower inspections; perform forklift inspections.
• Provide high-quality, professional customer service to clients.
• Maintain a positive attitude and clear communication.

This is a 12-hour shift 7am-7pm, on a 2-week rotating schedule. One week will be Saturday-Monday and Thursday-Friday, and the next week will be Tuesday-Wednesday

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Technician for our Clayton, NC team.

This highlymotivated, detail-oriented, customer service-focusedindividual will be responsible forworking on site for the client by helping them manage their hazardous waste programs.

This position reports to the Program Manager .

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift to move supplies as necessary
• Load and organize recyclable material onto trailers
• Communicate and schedule non-hazardous waste pick-ups
• Oversee on-site confidential document shredding
• Escort subcontractors & drivers to work locations
• Conduct eyewash & safety shower inspections
• Trash cleanup and removal
• Drain rainwater from containment pit
• Conduct forklift inspections
• Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service
• Positive attitude and good communication skills

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours; typically, 7am to 4pm or 10am to 7pm Saturday through Wednesday.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, the hazardous waste field.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
  
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
  
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  
• Ability to work overtime on when needed
  
• The Environmental Technicianfrequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior relevant industry experience
• Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
