Job summary

Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR seeks an Environmental Technician for a full-time role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). You will disinfect, clean, and manage basic waste removal within the Environmental Services Department, supporting patient safety and facility standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of hospital cleaning experience, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility.
• This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.
