Job summary

Jefferson Regional is seeking an Environmental Technician to clean and disinfect the facility and manage waste disposal, including medical waste and equipment disposal.

The role involves daily interactions with hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, and requires adherence to all safety and infection-control policies in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Job Summary:

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.
