Job summary

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Environmental Technicians to join our team at the Volvo Car Factory located in Ridgeville, SC.

These individuals will handle and process production by-product waste, including solid, recyclable, and hazardous/non-hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities include collecting waste streams, loading trailers, performing daily equipment inspections, assisting with spill response, documenting waste

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience in waste management.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash, recyclables, scrap metal and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal.
• Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to off-site destination facilities.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use.
• Assist supervisor with response to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids and containerizing cleaned up materials for proper disposal.
• Assist Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick up and waste organization.
• Document and inform Project Manager of any contamination in plant recycling and waste containers.
• Maintain necessary documentation of waste inventories, inspections and other activities as required.
• Operate fork truck to load/unload trucks.
• Follow all plant-related safety guidelines.
• Sort and bale recyclable material.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:40 p.m.
