MPS Group is seeking an Environmental Technician at the FCA Warren Truck Plant in Warren, MI. The role involves handling solid and hazardous waste, with a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Responsibilities include collecting and transporting waste streams, operating forklifts, inspecting equipment, and assisting with chemical spill responses while maintaining compliance with plant safety guidelines.

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team at the FCA Warren Truck Plant located in Warren, MI. This individual will be responsible for handling solid and hazardous waste at the plant.

Shift: 1 st Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (*Overtime possible based on production schedule*)

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Collect trash, recyclables, scrap metal and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal.
• Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to landfill, recycling center, and any other disposal streams.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use.
• Assist supervisor with response to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids and containerizing cleaned up materials for proper disposal.
• Assist Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick up and waste organization.
• Document and inform Resource Manager of any contamination in plant's recycling and waste containers.
• Maintain necessary documentation of waste inventories, inspections and other activities as required.
• Operate fork truck to load/unload trucks.
• Follow all plant- related safety guidelines.
• Sort and bale recyclable material.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year experience in waste management, industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
