We are searching for an Environmental Technician for our Adamstown, PA office. Project types include assisting with hazardous materials Investigations, abatement contractor oversight & air monitoring, Indoor Air Quality/Indoor Environmental Quality Testing, Mold sampling, drinking water sampling and report preparation.The essential duties and responsibilities of the Environmental Field Technician will include:

• Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with indoor environmental hazards such as asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, etc.

• Oversees hazardous materials remediation contractors performing remedial activities

• Excellent attitude toward personal safety, process safety, and environmental compliance

• Other duties as required by the position

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or another related major, or non-degreed individual with experience in the environmental field

·High level of accuracy and attention to detail

·Self-sufficiency, capable of working independently, hard working

·Proficient in the use of a PC, specifically Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

·Position may require working on ladders, frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes/shapes/weights including bending, lifting, moving pumps and generators.

·May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift 20-30 pounds.

·Periodic/frequent work with hazardous substances while utilizing designated personal protective equipment.

·Occasional overnight stays may be required, in addition, some 2nd or 3rd shift work may be required

·Pennsylvania School District Clearances – have or able to obtain Federal Criminal History, PA Department of Human Services Child Abuse and PA State Police Criminal Record clearances for working in Pennsylvania School Districts

·Ability to obtain, and keep in good standing, a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to job
