Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technical Studies Manager to lead the Environmental Planning practice in California. You will guide air quality, energy, health risk assessments, and noise studies while ensuring CEQA/NEPA compliance and high-quality deliverables.

You will oversee project management, business development, and staff mentorship across diverse residential and infrastructure projects. Hybrid work and client-facing responsibilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, Geography, Planning or related field (or in process).
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in air quality and/or noise compliance, including leadership and project management roles.
• Familiarity with CEQA/NEPA and local, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Manager for specialized technical studies.
• Develop a Technical Studies Business Plan with growth benchmarks.
• Lead and review technical modeling for Air Quality, Heath Risk Assessments, GHG, Energy, and Noise/Vibration.
• Prepare, review, and finalize technical studies and reports in CEQA/NEPA compliance.
• Manage the Technical Studies team budget and workload.
• Recruit, mentor, and provide feedback to staff.
• Identify market opportunities to grow the practice.
