Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. in Newman, CA seeks a Environmental Technical Studies Manager to lead the Technical Studies team within the Environmental Planning practice.

You will perform air quality, GHG, health risk assessments, energy and noise studies, while guiding project management, business development and staff mentorship under the Director of Environmental Planning. You will help shape the in-house technical services team, ensure CEQA/NEPA compliance, and drive growth through client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, Geography, Planning or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in air quality and/or noise compliance, including leadership and project management roles.
• Familiarity with federal, state and local air quality and climate change laws such as the Clean Air Act and CEQA/NEPA.
• Deep understanding of environmental consulting and CEQA processing requirements; strong written and verbal communication.
• Class C California driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Manager for specialized technical studies.
• Develop a Technical Studies Business Plan with growth benchmarks.
• Lead and review modeling for Air Quality, GHG, Energy and Noise/Vibration.
• Prepare, review and finalize studies in compliance with CEQA/NEPA and regulations.
• Manage team budget, performance and workload to targets.
• Recruit, mentor and provide feedback to staff, fostering collaboration.
• Identify market opportunities to grow the technical services practice.
