STENA Environmental, located in Baltimore, MD, seeks an entry-level Environmental Technician to support hazardous waste collection, sampling, and regulatory compliance. The role involves waste handling, air and water data tracking, and performing routine equipment operations in coordination with maintenance.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma, OSHA 30-hour certification, HAZWOPER, and hazardous materials certifications. Base pay is $20 per hour with strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• OSHA 30-hour general industry training certification & HAZWOPER spill response certification.
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Operator Cert & DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping Cert.
• Required to have full respirator training and maintain compliance with all PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental duties related to collection and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Maintain records for air, water, and waste sampling and reporting.
• Operate equipment safely (cranes, forklifts, carts) and coordinate with maintenance for LOTO.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, inspections, and regulations.
