Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center seeks a Manager Environmental Systems to supervise the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Shop, manage maintenance programs and lead training and performance reviews. You will oversee a wide range of equipment including air handlers, pumps, furnaces, and ice machines, with on-call rotation and emergency response duties.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a focus on safety and data-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of related experience.
• Associate degree in HVAC/Refrigeration Technology or related field plus seven years related experience.
• Nine years of related facilities maintenance experience; at least four years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Shop personnel.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of equipment associated with these shops (AHUs, pumps, furnaces, etc.).
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis and respond to emergencies.
