Job summary

UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, PA is seeking a reliable part-time Housekeeper to maintain patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, supporting a clean, safe and welcoming care environment for patients, families and staff.

Duties include bed making in discharge and on-call rooms, inspecting areas for cleanliness and repair, replenishing towels, toilet paper and soap, cleaning all areas per procedures, moving furniture or equipment as needed, and following safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Flexible, self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.
• May be in rooms where medications are stored; no contact with medications allowed.

Responsibilities

• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Use housekeeping equipment as directed.

Location: Seneca, PA

Status: Part‑Time (minimum 20 hours/week)

Shift: Varying shifts and hours, weekend and holiday shifts would be required.

Duties: Clean all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, to meet Hospital and Department standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment. Move equipment, furniture, boxes, etc. and remove and hang blinds and curtains.

• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.

• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
