Job summary

UPMC Bedford is seeking a casual Environmental Service Associate to work weekday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., totaling 15 hours per week. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, public areas and facilities, following established procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include bed making, restocking supplies, discarding waste, and safely moving equipment. Act 34 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Willingness to perform cleaning in patient rooms, public areas and facilities.
• Ability to move housekeeping equipment and supplies safely.

Responsibilities

• Make beds following cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and report problems to supervisor.
• Replenish towels, toilet paper, and soap in assigned locations.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment per procedures.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report issues to supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture and boxes as assigned.
• No contact with medications; follow written/verbal instructions to complete duties.

UPMC Bedford is looking for a casual Environmental Service Associate to work Monday-Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. a total of 15 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.


• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.


• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.


• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.


• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.


• Remove trash from all assigned areas.


• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.


• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.


• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.


• May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.


• No contact with medications is allowed.
