Job Description

  • Serve as technical and EHS expert for customer on hazardous waste and DOT regulations.
  • Provide consultation on best practices for waste disposition.
  • Plan and schedule waste shipments to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure shipments comply with all packaging, labeling, paperwork, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with waste characterization of various streams.
  • Monitor waste and recycling programs, coordinating pickups and swaps.
  • Collaborate on special projects and participate in team planning and customer meetings.
  • Maintain shipment records for forecasting and billing; collaborate with relevant teams for seamless service.
  • Resolve vendor and customer issues professionally, conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coach clients and third parties on systems and serve as liaison to ensure program implementation.
  • Conduct inspections of waste containers and facilitate emergency responses.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of waste management experience or 8+ years of industry experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management and client relations.
  • Experience with hazardous waste labeling and shipping paperwork.
  • Scheduling hazmat transporters/carriers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and order entry systems like Oracle.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to influence.
  • Ability to work independently and traverse large facilities.
  • Physical ability to access various site areas and wear PPE.
