Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc is seeking an Environmental Superintendent for its Rochester operation near Lovelock, NV. The role reports to the Environmental Manager and provides leadership to the environmental department on site.

The position requires relocation to Lovelock, NV and a 4 days on/3 days off schedule. You will oversee compliance, permitting, and environmental capital projects at the mine facility.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Technical Degree in environmental, biological, or earth sciences with 7 years of environmental experience in mining or related industries.
• Alternatively, 12 years of equivalent environmental management experience.
• Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and permit requirements.
• Strong leadership qualities: character, teamwork, communication, business sense, supervision experience and vision.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• 5 to 10 years of environmental experience at an operational mine.
• Working knowledge of Nevada environmental regulations.
• GIS mapping proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations across mining operations.
• Review and submit environmental reports to regulators.
• Support water, waste, air quality, and contractor environmental management.
• Assist with Plan of Operations amendments and NEPA activities.
• Coordinate public information meetings and hearings as needed.
• Assist with state and federal permitting and NEPA documentation.
• Lead for closure, reclamation plans, and related activities.
• Support planning for environmental capital projects and resources.
